Booking confirmation
After your tour booking, we will check the availability of the booked services. The written confirmation with invoice will be sent to you by mail.

Payment Processing
After receiving our booking confirmation prepayment of 10% of the tour price or a maximum of EUR 260 p.p. must be carried out by bank transfer. The final payment is due no later than three weeks before departure.

When booking individual services such as for example flight tickets, the travel documents must be issued before the deadline. In this case the full payment is required prior to the issuance of travel documents.

Travel documents
You will receive your travel documents in two steps. Until 14 days after booking you will receive the booking confirmation and invoice, travel information, insurance information, information on visa requirements and the travel-insurance certificate on the bankruptcy protection. From 14 days before departure we will send you the final information and the following travel documents: current information for your journey, current itinerary, a travel guide (book) per room, international air tickets (if booked by us), overview of the booked hotel including addresses in Chinese and English, participant list, contact list, guest questionnaire and any passport and visa documents. Tickets for flights trains and cruisers within China should be given to you from your guide in China.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that the timely completion of a trip cancellation insurance. Also recommended is the conclusion of an international medical, baggage and accident insurance. Together with the booking form or with the booking confirmation you will get the information for travel insurance. Please note the deadlines for the completion of travel insurance.

Vaccination and health provision
There are currently no required vaccinations for travel to China. We do recommend you, however, to check your vaccination tetanus, diphtheria and polio before departure. For the island of Hainan and the southern Chinese provinces such as Yunnan, Guangxi and Guizhou, preventive measures against malaria are recommended. Anyone who has stayed in a yellow fever infected country up to 6 days prior to entry into China must show a vaccination. You should check with your doctor, the public health or tropical institutes on the prevention and prophylaxis against hepatitis, malaria and tetanus.

Travel documents / visa
For entry into the People's Republic of China, German, all EU nationals, Swiss nationals and most travallers from other Western countires need a passport, which must be valid for at least another six months by end of the tour, and a tourist visa.

Travel to Hong Kong without a visa for German citizens, citizens of other nationalities should contact the appropriate consulate before departure.

For travel to Tibet, you need not only a China visa but also a special entry permit which is requested by us.

For travelers with a german passport or for those with habitual residence in Germany, we can take over the visa application for fee. All other guests must apply for the China visa in their own countries themselves. Please contact the Chinese Embassy or Consulates in your country or region.

Minimum number of participants
The minimum group size for our group and private tours is given in our tour offerings. Many tours are with guaranteed departures for only 2 persons

Child discount
For children in a group trip, we offer the following discounts from the basic price for occupancy in a double room with parents or with two paying adults:
Up to 1 year:  80% in the same bed with parents
2-11 years:    30% in the same bed with parents
                    15% extra bed in the room of parents
12-17 years:  5% extra bed in the room of parents
                    3% in a single room with 2 adults

Half double cabin on the Yangtze cruise
On the Yangtze cruise ship half double cabin can be booked for individuals on request and availability. In this case you will share the cabin with a second person from your or from another tour group.

The third person in double room
Three-bed room for three adults are rare in Chinese Hotels. On request an extra bed can be booked in the double room for third person. A reduction of the price for this double room with extra bed can not be implemented. We recommend this alternative only for families with children.

Pre & Post Programs
Before and / or after your tour, you can extend your stay. Bookings of individual pre or post programms are only possible until 4 weeks before departure.

Optional programs
Most optional programs are available on site. Some optional programs can, however, be booked only no later than 4 weeks are booked before departure.

Luggage
Please note most Chinese domestic flights have only 20 kg baggage allowance per person in economy class.

Flight seat reservation
For the long-haul flights to China a seat reservation can be made. Please tell us your seat request already by the booking. We will forward your seat reservation to the airlines. It is however for the airlines to confirm your request.

A open word
In the tour price only the current flight taxes and fuel surcharges have been taken into account. We can not exclude that the airlines make further fuel price increases. In this case we have to modify the tour price accordingly.

For travel to Tibet and Shangri-La you come to high altitudes (over 3,000 m). We recommend a visit to the doctor before the trip. Please note that the sanitary conditions outside the hotel in Tibet often do not meet Western or European requirements.

Because the Tibet train between Xining and Lhasa is very strong demand, soft sleep can be sold out. Ride in the 6-bed compartment is then only possibility. If this were the case, the surcharge for soft sleeper will be refunded shortly before departure.
